It’s a double blast from the past.

British car restorer and racing outfit DRVN Automotive Group has announced the launch of Boreham Motorworks, which will build all-new and updated versions of classic Ford cars.

It’s kicking things off with the Group 5 Escort MK1 and RS200 that were legendary racing cars in the 1970s and 1980s.

The Fords are fully licensed recreations and will blend modern tech with their original style.

Details on performance and pricing were not announced, but the company is already planning five more models. It’s possible that they could come to the U.S. under the terms of the Low Volume Vehicle Manufacturer’s Act which allows small companies to sell up to 325 classic replica cars annually as long as they are based on designs that are at least 25 years old and licensed from the original automaker. They also have to use a modern powertrain that meets emissions standards, but current safety regulations are waived.
