The Hennessey Venom 800 Is A Sky-High 800 HP Ford F-150 Supertruck
The Ford F-150 Raptor R has someone to look up to now. Way up.
The high-riding Venom 800 is Hennessey’s latest take on the F-150.
It starts with 5.0-liter V8-powered F-150 Lariat and adds a 3.0-liter supercharger and new fuel injection, air induction and intercooler systems to crank its horsepower up to 800 hp and 757 lb-ft of torque.
That handily beats the factory F-150 Raptor R’s 720 hp and 640 lb-ft and is good for a 0-60 mph time of 3.4 seconds and an 11.7-second quarter-mile, despite the towering six-inch BDS lift Hennessey gives it.

Upgraded six-piston Brembo brakes slow things down at the end of a sprint and unique Venom steel bumpers protect it if you decided to leave the drag strip and head for the hills. It rides on 20-inch wheels with 35-inch tires and a set of Fox coilover off-road shocks.

A Hennessey grille, badges and other accents rounds out the package, which will be limited to 250 trucks.
“Demand for powerfully designed and engineered Hennessey trucks continues to grow strongly,” company owner John Hennessey said in a news release. “Our new Venom 800 F-150 is the super truck that our clients have been asking for. Highly capable both on- and off-road, it offers the perfect combination of performance, utility, and luxury.”

Pricing starts at $64,950 on top of the F-150 Lariat the build is based on. One that is already available at a Hennessey certified dealer is listed for $143,360 and they all include a three-year/36,000-mile warranty.
Hennessey also offers its own take on the F-150 Raptor R in the form of the VelociRaptoR 1000, which has its 5.2-liter V8 upgraded to produce 1,043 hp.

It’s a $55,590 build on top of the price of an F-150 Raptor R, which starts at $112,360 if you can find one without any options or dealer markup on it, which isn’t easy to do.
