The Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution Roadster is a $3 Million Hairdryer
The Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution Roadster will be making its public debut at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering during Monterey Car Week, but don’t bring your checkbook.
All 12 examples of the Texas-built hypercar that Hennessey plans to build have already been sold for around $3 million each.
The Venom F5 Revolution Roadster is an open top version of the coupe that debuted in January.
It features a targa-style removable carbon fiber roof panel with an Alcantara headliner that weighs just 18 pounds, although there is nowhere on board to store it.
The car retains the central roof-mounted air intake its mid-mounted 1,817 hp twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V8 driving the rear wheels through a semi-automated seven-speed single-clutch transmission that can be manually operated with paddles mounted behind the car’s yoke-style steering wheel.
The lightweight carbon fiber chassis and body helps keep the weight to around 3,000 pounds.

The Revolution models are equipped with a more aggressive aerodynamics package that includes dive planes, larger splitters and a unique rear wing to improve downforce for track performance, where built-in telemetry offers detailed feedback.
Hennessey lists the car’s top speed at 250+ mph, but has said the Venom F5 was engineered to break 300 mph.
Plans are afoot to prove that with a two-way run on a public road, but no date or location has been announced.
