Fisker Adopting Tesla’s Charger In 2025
The North American Charging Standard is starting to live up to its name.
Fisker is the latest automaker to announce that it is adopting Tesla’s NACS plug design, which is used on its highly-regarded Supercharger network of high-speed charging stations, starting in 2025.
Ford, General Motors, Rivian and Volvo/Polestar all made similar moves in recent months as electric carmakers look to improve the charging experience for their customers.
The NACS uses a smaller plug and slimmer cable than the Combined Charging System (CCS) that most automakers, including Fisker, use today.

Fisker will begin providing CCS-to-NACS adapters to customers in 2025, which will unlock access to the Superchargers, and will install NACS as standard equipment on future models.
NACS-equipped vehicles will come with a CCS adapter to enable the use of chargers with that connection, which currently number more than 150,000 Level 2 and Level 3 plugs combined.
