The GMC Hummer EV EarthCruiser Is A Solar-Powered, Off-The-Grid Adventure Truck

(GMC)

GMC has revealed a new overland-style take on the Hummer EV Pickup designed and built by EarthCruiser that will be available next year.

The Hummer EV EarthCruiser Upfit includes a pop-up camper that fits in the pickup’s bed and over the roof and has all the comforts of home.

The unit features a full size bed with storage underneath it and a kitchen with a refrigerator/freezer, induction cooktop and a sink with a faucet that has a long enough hose for it to double as a shower fed from a 13.5-gallon freshwater tank.

The compartment offers up to 80 inches of standing room when the roof is popped up and also has a dining table and flat-pack camp toilet.

Additional storage is installed on the outside and the roof is equipped with a 650-watt solar panel array that charges a six kilowatt-hour battery that can provide up to a week of accessory power, but isn’t set up to charge the vehicle’s battery.
