The Ford Lobo may be heading north of the border.
Ford Mexico sells high end versions of the F-150 under the Lobo name.
The Lobo XLT, Lariat, Tremor, Platinum, etc. Even the Raptor.
Lobo is Spanish for “wolf” and has never been used on an F-150 sold in the USA, but it might be soon.
Ford Authority reports that an F-150 Lobo trim will be added to the lineup with the redesigned 2024 truck that will be revealed alongside the North American International Auto Show in September.
Sources told the outlet that it will be a “sinister and aggressive” street-focused model, with a lowered suspension.
Further evididence of the move comes in the form of a trademark filing this month for the F-150 Lobo and Maverick Lobo names.
Unlike the Maverick that is manufactured in Mexico, all F-150s for domestic and global sale are made in the USA.
Ford hasn’t commented on the report and has so far only confirmed the 2024 F-150’s upcoming reveal, though not the exact date or time.
Along with the internal combustion engine versions of the F-150, Ford is also adding a limited edition Platinum Black version of the electric 2024 F-150 Lighting with a matte black wrap and blacked out accdessories.
