That’s a lot of waves.

Jeep has confirmed the sale of the five-millionth Wrangler since the it replaced the CJ for the 1987 model year.

The “Earl” gray plug-in hybrid 2023 Wrangler 4xe Rubicon 20th Anniversary Edition was ordered by a customer in Camden, N.J.

Jeep gave the buyer, whose name has not been released, a $5,000 credit to the Jeep Performance Parts catalog.

“More than 80% of the 5 million Wranglers sold since 1986 are still on the road, having fun out there and showcasing the amazing staying power of the vehicle. Our new 2024 Wrangler raises the bar once again as the most capable Wrangler yet, with more technology, safety features and refinement,” Jeep Vice President Jim Morrison said.
