Hilton Adding 20,000 Tesla Chargers At Hotels

(Hilton)

Soon, when you stay at a Hilton you’ll be able to charge it. Your car, that is.

The hotel chain has announced that it will add up to 20,000 Tesla Universal Wall Connector chargers at approximately 2,000 locations across the U.S., Canada and Mexico starting next year.

The 240-volt chargers are the same ones that are available for home installations and can provide up to 44 miles worth of electricity per hour when operating at their maximum output.

They are equipped with both Tesla’s NACS plug and the more common CCS plug used by most other automakers right now.

However, several, including Ford, General Motors and Fisker will be switching to NACS as standard equipment in the coming years.

Hilton says it will have the largest charging network of any hotel chain when it is complete.

Many of Hiltons properties already have charging stations, which are listed on the company’s booking website.

Tesla’s retail price for the chargers is $595, but terms of its deal with Hilton were not announced.
