The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally Is An Electric Subaru WRX Killer
The Mustang is finally galloping back to the wilderness.
Ford has unveiled the Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally that is arriving next year as the first off-roadable model to wear the Mustang name.
As its name suggest, it was designed with high speed dirt and gravel road driving in mind.
The team that developed it said it was benchmarked against the Subaru WRX, but it’s much more powerful than that car has ever been.
The Mustang Mach-E Rally is based on the Mustang Mach-E GT, but its suspension has been equipped with heavy duty springs and computer-controlled MagneRide dampers.

That plus an all-terrain wheel and tire package with narrower, but taller rubber than the GT’s, gives it 6.5 inches of ground clearance.
The dual-motor drive system is protected from debris by shielding and expected to be rated at 480 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque, which will make the Rally the most potent Mustang Mach-E model.
A selectable RallySport drive mode has been programmed to allow for easier slides on loose surfaces.
FRIDAY FANTASY: THE FORD BRONCO MONTANA LOBO WAS PRETTY LOCO
Lower bodywork is covered with clear film and the unpainted faux grille equipped with auxiliary lights. A swan neck-style wing over the rear window is exclusive to the model, as are its gloss-white plastic shelled sports seats.
The Mustang Mach-E Rally comes with a battery pack that stores 91 kWh of useable charge and is good for a range of approximately 250 miles. It will ship with the hardware needed to enable the subscription-based Blue Cruise hands-free highway driving system, which is being updated with an improved version 1.3 software.

Ford expects the Mustang Mach-E Rally to be priced around $65,000 when sales and deliveries begin early next year.
