IndyCar will run a one of a kind race next year.

The racing series is holding an exhibition event at California’s The Thermal Club near Palm Springs in March.

The facility is a private race track and community with an initiation fee of $175,000 and $5 million homes.

IndyCar had a pre-season test at the track this February to test the waters and will return on March 24 for testing and a race that will air on TV.

The race will have a multi-million purse with a $1 million prize for the winning team and a charitable component.

It won’t be open to the general public, but club members will be able to enter a lottery to be embedded with each team.

Although it will take place after the season-opening street race in St. Petersburg, Fla., the non-points event will feature a unique format. A qualifying session and two heat races will set the field for a 12-car showdown.
