Tesla Takes Another One As Jaguar Adopts NACS Plugs For Its EVs
The list is getting as long as a charging cable.
Jaguar has announced that it’s future electric vehicles sold in the U.S., Canada and Mexico will use Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) plugs starting in 2025.
The adoption of the format and associated software will give the brand’s vehicles access to Tesla’s lauded Supercharger network.
Jaguar will also provide CCS (Combined Charging System) to NACS adapters for owners of the I-Pace electric model that’s currently on sale.

Jaguar is the latest in a fast-growing list of automakers who are migrating to NACS, which already includes Ford, General Motors, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Rivian, Fisker and Volvo.

Stellantis and its U.S. brands — Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram — have not yet decided if they will make the switch, but recently joined a consortium of automakers to back a new charging network that will have both NACS and CCS plugs avaialable.
