The Cadillac Celestiq is a big deal … and a big car.The $300,0000 electric four-door is a throwback to the days when cars ruled the road and is longer than some of today’s full-size SUVs.
But that doesn’t mean it was designed to haul.
The Celestiq features a liftback design with a cargo area that has a high liftover and a narrow opening that makes loading it look like a challenge.
And while the hood stretches to eternity, there’s not much to see underneath it.
GM Authority has the first images of a Celestiq with its hood open, which were captured during a commercial shoot in Vancouver, Canada.
Inside is a large sea of black plastic with a Cadillac crest-shaped “frunk” storage compartment. It appears to be nicely upholstered in keeping with the vehicle’s opulence, but doesn’t look like it can fit much stuff.
That’s in stark contrast to the electric 2025 Escalade IQ, which has a sizeable, carpet-lined compartment under its taller hood.

The exact sizes of the frunk and the rest of the 600 hp all-wheel-drive Celestiq haven’t been announced, but should be revealed in the coming months as deliveries are scheduled to begin early next year.
