Production 2024 Honda Prologue Electric SUV Revealed With GM-Powered 300 Miles Of Range
Honda is almost ready to write the first chapters of its electric vehicle future.
The final production version of the 2024 Prologue SUV was unveiled on Thursday.
The midsize utility vehicle was designed at the company’s Los Angeles studio and uses the General Motors Ultium electric vehicle platform, which will also underpin the Chevrolet Blazer EV.
The Prologue is a couple of inches longer than the current Passport SUV, but has a lower profile for improved aerodynamics.
The entry-level trim is a front-wheel-drive EX with an 85 kilowatt-hour battery pack good for an estimated 300 miles of driving between charges. Pricing is expected to start in the high-$40,000 range before incentives are deducted.
IS HONDA UNVEILING A NEW USA-MADE SUPERCAR SOON?
The Prologue, and the related Acura ZDX, will be built by General Motors, likely alongside the Blazer EV at its Ramos Arizpe, Mexico, factory, but Honda has yet to confirm this. A North American manufacturing site could qualify it for U.S. federal tax credits available for electric vehicle purchases.

Power for the front-wheel-drive Prologue has not been announced, but all-wheel-drive versions with 288 hp and 333 lb-ft of torque will also be offered on the EX and mid-level Touring trims, and will come standard on the top of the line Elite.
All Prologues are equipped with a digital instrument cluster and an infotainment system that has Google Built-In plus Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration. GM’s models will only have the Google features.
It’s relatively long wheelbase provides a roomy passenger compartment, while the cargo area has a capacity of 25.2 cubic-feet.
Honda last week announced that it will be selling the $995 Motocompacto electric scooter that folds up into a box as a compliment to the Prologue and its other EVs.
The Prologue will be compatible with Tesla’s supercharger network using an adapter, with future Hondas slated to switch to Tesla’s NACS plug.
Final pricing will be released closer to when Prologue deliveries begin in early 2024.
