The Cheapest Tesla Model Y Is Now $43,990

Tesla has added a new entry-level trim to the Model Y lineup.

The rear-wheel-drive Model Y has a starting price of $43,990, before destination fees are added.

The trim has an EPA rated range of 260 miles per charge and can accelerate to 60 mph in 6.6 seconds, according to Tesla.

The standard color is silver, while white and black are availble for $1,000, blue for $1,500 and red for $2,000.

Earlier this year Tesla was offering a standard range all-wheel-drive Model Y for $47,740, but it was only available for a short time.

Tesla now offers three Model Y variants in the U.S., including the all-wheel-drive Long Range for $50,490 and the Performance for $54,490.

All three are eligible for the full $7,500 federal tax credit on electric cars.
