NASCAR Cup Series To Race At Iowa Speedway Next June
NASCAR is heading to the Hawkeye State next summer.
The Cup Series will visit Iowa Speedway for the first time on June 16, 2024, NASCAR announced Tuesday.
The top series has never visited the .875-mile oval — which opened in 2006 and was designed with input from NASCAR great Rusty Wallace — but the Xfinity Series and Truck Series raced on it from 2009 to 2019 and it is currently used for the ARCA Series Calypso Lemonade 150.
It’s also hosts an annual double-header IndyCar Series weekend.
Current Cup Series driver and team co-owner Brad Keselowski won at the track three times in the Xfinity Series, while Christopher Bell took the checkered flag in the last two races.
The track essentially fills the slot in the schedule vacated by California’s Auto Club Speedway, which is set to be demolished and replaced by a half-mile oval.

The ARCA Series and Xfinity Series will join the Cup Series on Friday and Saturday the same weekend.
The full 2024 NASCAR schedule is expected to be released this week.
