Hailie Deegan is trading in her F-150 for a Mustang.

The ThorSport Racing NASCAR Truck Series driver has signed a multi-year contract with the AM Racing Xfinity Series team that starts next season.

Deegan has been backed by Ford Performance Motorsports since 2020, when she was a full-time ARCA Series driver. She’s spent the past three seasons in the Truck Series and made one Xfinity start at Las Vegas in 2022, when she finished 13th.

“Hailie works so hard on and off the track, and AM Racing will surround her with a great team to continue her development,” Mark Rushbrook, global director Ford Performance Motorsports, said in a release.

“From what we saw from Hailie in her Xfinity Series debut in Las Vegas last year, we look forward to some great results in 2024.”

Deegan has never qualified for the Truck Series Playoffs and is currently 19th in the standings with two races to go this year.

AM Racing president Wade Moore said Deegan is “very committed, very passionate,” but has a lot to prove.

“She hasn’t maybe lived up to even her own expectations. But with that, we still have a lot of room for growth, too. So I think that coincides very well.”

Deegan’s car will be primarily sponsored by Airbox, Inc., and VIVA Tequila Seltzer in 2024.
