Lucid has made the Air less rare.
The new entry-level Air Pure Rear-Wheel-Drive electric sedan has a starting price of $78,675, including delivery fees, which is $5,000 less than the all-wheel-drive version.
The Arizona-built Air Pure RWD has a 430 hp drivetrain and a 410-mile driving range between charges. The latter is the same as the AWD model, which is rated at 480 hp thanks to its dual electric motor layout.
Lucid hasn’t announced Air RWD’s efficiency, which is listed in miles per gallon equivalent, but the Air AWD is tied with the Hyundai Ioniq 6 as the most efficient car ever at 140 MPGe.
