The Cheapest V8-Powered American Cars And Trucks
The V8 engine is riding off into the sunset.
One by one, car and truck models powered by the classic motor configuration are being discontinued.
Dodge’s muscle cars are going electric next year and Chevrolet Camaro is going out of production with no immediate replacement on the horizon.
The Toyota Tundra has already made a wholesale switch to turbocharged V6 powertrains, while Ram is killing the mighty 1500 TRX and its 702 hp supercharged V8 this year.
You’ll still be able to get a Ford Mustang or a Chevy Corvette with a V8 for the next few years, and they’re not going completely extinct in pickups anytime soon, but the days of them being a dime a dozen are long over.
