Honda is hot on hybrids.
The brand will launch the first Civic hybrid model since the last was discontinued in 2015.
The new Civic Hybrid sedan will be built in Canada and the Hatchback in Indiana.
Both will use a two-motor hybrid powertrain based around a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that’s produced in Ohio.
Honda expects the hybrids to account for 40% of Civic sales.

It currently offers several hybrid version of the Accord and CR-V, which combine for 56% of sales of the models.
Pricing and specifications for the Civic Hybrid will be announced closer to when it goes on sale, but a European version is rated at 181 hp.
