Fisker has its price tag gun out.

The California-based electric automaker is adjusting prices across its lineup, because “it is essential that Fisker responds to competitive realities in the rapidly growing EV market,” according to Chairman and CEO Henrik Fisker.

The price for Fisker’s top Ocean Extreme trim has been reduced by $7,500 from $68,999 to $61,499 and anyone who has previously purchased or ordered one will also get the discount.

The Ocean Extreme has a dual motor all-wheel-drive system and a range of 360 miles per charge, plus a standard solar roof that can generate up to four miles-worth of electricity daily under ideal conditions.

Fisker is raising prices on other models, however, with the entry-level Sport up $1,500 from $37,499 to $38,999 and the Ultra up $3,000 from $49,999 to $52,999. Current pricing remains in effect through November 5.

“We are very confident in the continued demand for the Ocean and we expect the Sport and Ultra models to be the highest sellers starting in 2024,” Fisker added in a note to investors.

THE FISKER ALASKA WILL BE MADE IN USA AND THIS IS HOW BIG IT IS

Fisker in September announced that it had delivered 900 Oceans globally, but expects output at the Magna factory in Austria that builds it under contract to reach 300 daily this year.

The Ocean’s factory location means that it doesnt’ qualify for the $7,500 federal electric vehicle tax credit on purchases, but the amount can be applied to leases, which Fisker currently offers with no term commitment starting at $379 per month with $2,999 down.

More info on Fisker’s outlook is expected during its third-quarter earnings call on November 8.
