Stellantis and the UAW have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract that will see the union’s striking American workforce return to work this week, just as their Canadian counterparts at Unifor walk off the job.

Unifor has announced a strike against all of the automaker’s facilities in Canada as contract negotiations continue.

The UAW contract is similar to the one the union agreed to with Ford last week and includes 25% raises over its four-and-a-half-year term, along with other benefits.

“We are extremely disappointed. We will continue to bargain in good faith until an agreement is reached. We look forward to getting everyone back to work as soon as possible,” Stellantis said in a statement on the action.

The strike will idle production of the Chrysler Pacifica, Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger. The Pacifica is the best-selling minivan in the USA, while this is the final year of production for the current 300, Charger and Challenger.

Dodge has declared all 2023 Charger and Challenger cars Last Call models and is offering several special edition trims to mark the end of production, including the retro-style Challenger Swinger.

Among the Challenger model that aren’t being built is the Demon 170, which has a 900 hp supercharged V8 and is being limited to a maximum of 3,000 cars for the U.S., but Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis said before the strike he wasn’t sure if it would be able to deliver that many before the end of production.

Dodge will replace the V8-powered versions of the Challenger and Charger with an all-electric car in 2024.

The UAW’s strike against General Motors is ongoing and was expanded over the weekend to include the automaker’s Spring Hill, Tenn., factory, which builds the Cadillac XT5 and XT6, GMC Acadia and Cadillac Lyriq electric SUV.

UPDATE: Unifor announced on Monday morning that it had reached a tentative agreement with Stellantis and ended the strike.
