Ryan Gosling is about to fill some pretty big shoes … and big trucks.

The two-time Oscar nominee stars in the upcoming reboot of the classic TV show, “The Fall Guy,” in the role of Colt Seavers, which was originally played by Lee Majors.

The first trailer for the film has been released.

In the TV version, Seavers was a Hollywood stuntman who also worked as a bounty hunter, but the movie switches things up a bit.

THE FALL GUY’S NEW TRUCK SHOULD REALLY BE A RIVIAN — HERE’S WHY

Gosling appears alongside Emily Blunt, who plays a director and former love interest who ends up with him doing stunts for the lead of a film she’s directing.

Yadda, yadda, tension, yadda, the actor gets kidnapped and Seavers somehow ends up with the job of finding him.

AEV SIERRA GRANDE PICKUP IS THE ULTIMATE GMC OVERLAND RIG

That’s great and all, but the reason you’re reading about this on a car news website is manyfold (or perhaps that should be spelled manifold.)

First, the actual film is directed by David Leitch, who helmed “John Wick” and “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw,” so you know there will be plenty of car action, which is heavily featured in the trailer.

What’s also seen is another star from the TV series: Seavers’ iconic brown and gold 1980 GMC K2500 Sierra pickup, complete with a lift kit and light bar. Seavers pulls up to his house in one, early in the trailer.

He apparently upgrades later on, because another clip shows him jumping from a brand-new modified two-tone Sierra AT4X that meets an untimely fate.

General Motors has not responded to an inquiry from American Cars And Racing as to whether or not it is directly involved in the production of the film, but it recently worked with the film’s studio, Universal, on the “Barbie” movie that Gosling was also in, which featured a classic Corvette converted to electric and a GMC Hummer EV.

“The Fall Guy” is scheduled to premiere on March 1, 2024.
