Used vehicle prices have been on a wild ride the past few years.

New vehicle production issues driven by lockdowns and parts supply problems drove used values to never before seen highs. It was a seller’s market for some time, but prices have finally started to normalize.

However, there are some cars and trucks still hold onto their value much better than the industry average drop of 38.8% over five years, which remains up from around 50% prior to the pandemic.

A new iseecars.com report ranks the top 25, but only four models from American brands made the list.

The Jeep Wrangler was fourth overall — behind the Porsche 911, Porsche 718 Cayman and Toyota Tacoma — with a 20.8% drop in value worth an average of $8,951 from MSRP.

The soon-to-be-discontinued Chevrolet Camaro was next in seventh at 24.1% and $10,161.

(Ford)

The Ford Mustang, which has been replaced by a new seventh-generation model this year, was 11th, but not far behind the Camaro at 24.5% and $10,035.

The Chevrolet Corvette was the only other American model to make the top 25, with a depreciation of 27.5% worth $22,712.
