The Canoo American Bulldog Is A ‘Loyal And Courageous’ Electric Pickup
It has a military pedigree.
U.S. electric truck startup Canoo has officially revealed a concept civilian, unarmored version of the Screaming Eagle Light Tactical Vehicle that it built for the U.S. Army to evaluate.
The bulbous American Bulldog features the same crew cab body and a flat bed with configurable sides.
It uses a 600 hp all-wheel-drive system and rides on 32-inch all-terrain tires.

Canoo has built several vehicles off of the common honeycomb skateboard-style chassis that underpins the American Bulldog, including other pickups, delivery vans and a crew van that’s set to be used by NASA for its Artemis Moon mission.
The company has been working through various finance issues, but has several contracts for thousands of vehicles with fleet buyers, including Walmart and the state of Oklahoma, where it builds the vans.
“Like the American Bulldog, this vehicle is loyal and courageous. It’s woven into the American spirit and reflects this country’s innovation,” Tony Aquila, Executive Chairman and CEO of Canoo, said in a press release.
“When we say ‘Made in America,’ we mean it.”
