17-Year-Old Xtreme Outlaw Midgets Champion Jade Avedesian Signs With Toyota Racing Development

Jade Avedesian is hitting the road … courses.

The reigning Xtreme Outlaw Midgets champion has signed a multi-year deal with Toyota Racing Development that will see her competing in several series with backing from the automaker next season.

Avedesian this year became the first female driver to win a midget series national championship by earning 5994 points on the World of Outlaws-backed circuit, 59 ahead of runner-up Zach Daum.

She was also rookie of the year at the highly competitive Chili Bowl Nationals, where she qualified for the A-Feature final at age 16.

She’ll continue to race for Keith Kunz Motorsports isn the Xtreme Outlaw Midgets and USAC National Midget series in 2024, but will also compete in the the full seven-race Toyota GR Cup sports car series.

The GR Cup series features identical race-prepped Toyota GR86 coupes on some of America’s top road courses, including Sebring International Raceway, Circuit of The Americas and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
