Chase Elliott Named NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver … Again

(NASCAR)

NASCAR fans have voted Chase Elliott their most popular Cup Series driver for the sixth year in a row.

The perennial favorite won the award despite having a winless season that included six missed races due to a snowboarding injury and a one-race suspension for on track conduct.

The Hendrick Motorsports driver also failed to make the playoffs for the first time in his Cup Series career.

Elliott’s father, Bill, holds the record with 16 most popular Cup Series driver awards.

Justin Allgaier won the award in the Xfinity Series for the fourth time, having previously won three in a row form 2019 through 2021.

Allgaier finished second in the season championship to Cole Custer.

Hailie Deegan was voted the most popular Truck Series driver for the third year in a row.

It will likely be here last as she is switching to the Xfinity Series in 2024 with AM Racing.
