A lot of people still think the Tesla Cybertruck is full of hot air.
And it can be.
Tesla is selling an inflatable tent that is integrated with the pickup’s bed for $2,795
The tent stores in a bag that attaches to the bedside L-tracks and fits under the powered, lockable tonneau cover.
THE TESLA CYBERTRUCK IS LITERALLY SHARP ENOUGH TO CUT SKIN
The frameless tent features a geodesic design, air bladders that give it support and a padded mattress floor.
The kit comes with a manual pump and the tent also has an awning held up by poles and stakes.
Tesla also says the Cybertruck has a Tent Mode, but hasn’t detailed what it does. There’s a power outlet in the bed that can be used while the truck is parked, but no mention of climate control beyond the tent’s screen windows.
TESLA WILL WRAP THE CYBERTRUCK IN WHITE OR BLACK FOR $6,500
Tents for conventional pickup beds can be found for a few hundred dollars or even less.
Among the other available accessories is a $400 fold-up ramp for loading motorcycles and such, which has replaced the ramp that was built into the tailgate of the Cybertruck concept.
