The IndyCar and three-time NASCAR Cup Series and will be taking over Leah Pruett’s NHRA Top Fuel Dragster at Tony Stewart Racing for the 2024 season.

Stewart has been racing in the Top Alcohol Dragster class since 2022 and finished this season in second place with two event wins.

“When your wife wants to try to start a family & wants you to drive her car, what are you going to say? I’m proud of @LeahPruett_TV & excited we’re going to focus on starting a family in 2024. I’m humbled Leah & Neal Strausbaugh felt I was the driver to fill in for her,” Stewart posted to X.

Stewart and Pruett were married in 2022. When asked by Fox Sports reporter Bob Pockrass if he was more scared of racing or starting a family, Stewart said, “I’m way more scared of starting a family. I can barely take care of myself.”

Stewart said the jump from Top Alcohol to Top Fuel is one of the biggest he’s ever made in his racing career.

Top Alcohol trap speeds are around 285 mph while Top Fuel cars can break 335 mph.
