Here’s How To Remove The Tesla Cybertruck’s Mirrors
The Tesla Cybertruck is meant to be a forward-looking vehicle, so it’s no surprise that mirrors are a low priority.
The electric pickup has a review mirror in the cabin and side view mirrors, but they can all be removed.
Elon Musk said the only reason it included them was due to federal regulations, as the truck provides a video view of what’s behind it on the infotainment system screen.
But while the vehicles need to be delivered with them from the factory, mirror use laws vary state to state and they don’t need to be used off road.

The Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco are similarly designed with removable side view mirrors, but exactly how do you take the Cybertruck’s off?

A new video posted to YouTube by Gardenia, Calif., vinyl wrap specialist Bully Wraps explains the process. The clip is narrated in Russian, but the YouTube translation does a good job following along.
The host shows how there’s a rubber panel on the inside of the door that covers three 40mm Torx screws that need to be removed.

After that, it’s just a matter of detaching the power cable and sliding the mirror housing up and out of the door.
All of the connections are on the inside of the door and the gap that’s left appears to be covered by the window when the door is closed.
Wrap Bullys doesn’t list the price for its 3M Satin Black Cybertruck wrap and hasn’t responded to a request for comment yet. Tesla charges $6,500 for a “self-healing, urethane-based film” wrap on its in-house options list, but it’s only available for installation at locations in Covina and Carlsbad, California.
