The 2024 North American Car, Truck And Utility Vehicle Of The Year Have Been Revealed
Toyota, Ford and Kia are taking home the top prizes.
The three brands received the North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the year awards in Detroit on Thursday.
The Toyota Prius and Prius Prime plug-in hybrid were voted Car of the the Year by a panel of journalists.
The new Prius has been praised for its sleek styling and improved performance over past models.
Fuel economy ranges from 48 to 57 mpg across the lineup, while the Prime delivers 40 to 45 miles of all-electric range between charges.
The Ford F-Series Super Duty lineup beat the Chevrolet Colorado and Chevrolet Silverado EV to with the Truck of the Year category, allowing Ford to hold on to the title it won withe the F-150 Lightning in 2023.
Kia was also a repeat winner with its new EV9 three-row electric SUV following in the footsteps of the EV6 last year.

The EV9 is currently imported from South Korea, but Kia is planning to start building it in a new factory in Georgia later this year.
