Kyle Busch’s Rowdy Energy Brand Going Out Of Business

Kyle Busch is closing up shop.

The Richard Childress Racing driver announced Wednesday that his Rowdy Energy drink company is going out of business.

“In 2020, I wanted to create a better-for-you, all natural energy drink that had great taste, so I launched Rowdy Energy,” Busch wrote in a message posted to social media.

“But, unfortunately, I’m here to say Rowdy Energy will be ceasing operations and closing its doors in the coming weeks. Like many other consumer brands, the headwinds have proven to be too strong and it makes the most sense to end the journey so I can remain focused on my family and my racing career.”

Rowdy is one of the nicknames Busch has picked up over the years.

Busch used his platform as a driver tor promote the drink with sponsorship on his cars and a can in hand during many interviews.

Last September, Busch sold the Kyle Busch Motorsports racing team to Spire Motorsports, also citing a focus on his family.

Busch is one of the all-time highest paid NASCAR Cup Series drivers in history.

Beyond the Flag reported that Busch was paid a $16.9 million salary in his last season with Joe Gibbs Racing in 2022, though many expect he makes less at Richard Childress Racing.

Earlier in the week, Richard Childress Racing announced that Rebel Bourbon was coming on as one of the sponsors of Busch’s No. 8 Chevrolet this season.
