The Honda Civic Hybrid is coming back after a decade.
Honda confirmed the model’s return last year and has now released the first images of the car, which will be offered in sedan and hatchback versions.
Technical details have not yet been revealed, but the sedan in the photos has mildly updated styling compared to the current Civic, which launched in 2022, and all Civics trims are getting an update.
Honda last sold a Civic hybrid in the U.S. in 2015.

The new sedan will be built in Canada and the Hatchback in Indiana, where non-hybrid versions are also produced.

Honda has been making a major shift toward hybrids with its latest models, with the CR-V hybrid becoming the best-selling hybrid in the U.S. last year and the Accord hybrid the best-selling hybrid car.
Honda is planning for at least 40% of Civic sales to be the hybrid model following its launch this summer.
The automaker will also be launching a hydrogen fuel cell-powered CR-V with plug-in charging capability this year that will have final assembly done at the Performance Manufacturing Center in Ohio where the NSX supercar used to be built.
Along with the CR-V fuel cell model a battery-electric Prologue SUV that uses GM’s Ultium electric vehicle platform, will be rolling out soon, initially in California and other states that follow its emissions regulations.
