Chevrolet Only Sold 1 Camaro Collector’s Edition 1SS Convertible
It doesn’t get rarer than this.
To mark the end of sixth generation Camaro production, Chevy offered a Collector’s Edition package that was available across the lineup.
The option drew inspiration from the Panther codename that was used during development of the original Camaro.
It included Panther Black Metallic Tintcoat paint and panther logos, satin black stripes and 20-inch satin black wheels.

Customers also received a Shinola Canfield Sport 45mm watch with the panther logo.
Muscle Cars and Trucks has gotten its hands to the final production numbers for the package and discovered that a total of 1,335 cars were ordered with it across the 14 available configurations.
The most popular was the V8-powered 2SS Coupe, of which 405 cars were built, while just a single 1SS Convertible was delivered. The 1SS convertible Collector’s Edition was priced around $55,000.
It will be interesting to see how valuable this one-of-one car will become over time, but a brand new 2SS collector’s edition coupe with three miles on the odometer and a sticker price of $57,115 was sold on the Bring A Trailer auction website today for $60,000.
The top of the line 650 hp Camaro ZL1 Collector’s Edition was the only one that had a production limit. It was capped at 350 cars and the final split was 274 coupes and 76 convertibles.
Chevrolet has not announced what will replace the Camaro in its lineup, if anything does.
For now, the Corvette is the only two-door sports car sold by any General Motors brand and the only other V8-powered car it sells is the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing sedan.

For the record, the very last Camaro that was built was a Zl1 1LE with a manual transmission.
