Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Revealed As Daytona 500 Grand Marshall

If you smell what The Rock is cooking this year, it’s gas and rubber.

Dwayne Johnson has been named Grand Marshall for the 2024 running of the NASCAR Daytona 500.

The announcement was made on Fox during the NFC Championship game between the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers and following the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Team Penske followed up Ryan Blaney’s NASCAR Cup Series driver’s championship with a Rolex 24 win courtesy of the Porsche Penske Motorsports Porsche 963 GTP car.

The Rock will join a list of recent Daytona 500 Grand Marshalls that includes Dale Earnhardt Jr., J.J. Watt, President Donald Trump and Pitbull.

NASCAR CHANGING SHORT TRACK, ROAD COURSE PACKAGE FOR 2024

Pitbull, who co-owns the Trackhouse Racing team, will also be at the event putting on a pre-race concert at 2:30 p.m. ET before the green flag waves at 3:14 p.m on Fox on Feb. 18.

The Rock is one of the owners of the new UFL spring football league, which counts Fox Sports as an investor and kicks off on March 30.
