Nick Sanchez survived Friday night’s NASCAR Truck Series Fresh From Florida 250 at Daytona International Speedway, which saw a record 12 caution periods and finished under yellow.

Sanchez was out front on the final lap of overtime when Taylor Gray, Jack Wood, Rajah Caruth and Corey LaJoie came together behind him, starting a wreck that collected most of the remaining field and flipped Gray’s truck on top of the pack.

Caruth was preliminarily scored second ahead of Corey Heim, Spencer Boyd and Bret Holmes.

The win was Sanchez’s first in the NASCAR Truck Series.
