Call it the Biden bounce.
A one of a kind 2018 Cadillac ATS-V originally ordered and leased by Joe Biden has been auctioned for $77,776.
The car was sold through the Cars & Bids website.
The high performance sports sedan is the only one that features Black Raven paint and Kona Brown upholstery, which wasn’t a standard combination that was offered.
TUCKER 48 SOLD AT MECUM AUCTION FOR $1.87 MILLION
Biden’s team negotiated the build with General Motors, as is revealed in documentation that was presented with the car, which is powered by a 464 hp turbocharged V6 engine.
Biden kept it until 2020 and it had approximately 15,900 miles on it at the time of the auction, which was posted by the dealer that got the car off-lease.
The original list price was $72,975, but similar cars today sell in the $50,000 range, so the presidential provenance appears to have been worth a bit of a premium.
Still, at that price, the new owner could probably pay for the car by renting it out, or starting a “Ridin’ Like Biden” social media outlet.

While it is hard to compare the two cars, a unique 1997 Lamborghini Diablo originally owned by Donald Trump was auctioned in January for $1.1 million, which was roughly double what the model typically sells for.
