‘Jeep’ Wagoneer And Grand Wagoneer Returning
The Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will soon proudly wear the brand’s name again.
When the full-size SUVs were launched in 2021, Jeep looked to create a “premium extension” similar to Land Rover’s Range Rover lineup that downplayed the Jeep name on the vehicles.
It doesn’t appear on their window stickers and you have to look very hard to find it on the vehicles themselves, where it is in tiny print inside the headlight housings and on the sideview mirror surrounds.
The idea apparently hasn’t caught on with customers and Jeep’s recently-appointed new CEO Antonio Filsosa has now reversed course and announced that the Wagoneers will be brought back under the Jeep brand.

“”This creates more clarity around the brand, more clarity in the showroom of the dealer and more clarity of the offer to the consumer,” Filosa said during a reporter roundtable about upcoming Jeep products, according to The Detroit News.
The first new Jeep Wagoneer will actually be the upcoming Wagoneer S electric SUV that launches late this year, while the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will follow with the brand update, a Jeep spokeswoman confirmed with American Cars And Racing.
The original Jeep Wagoneer was sold from 1963 through 1993 with the Grand Wagoneer trim added from 1984 through 1991.
