2024 Ford Mustang Now Available With $5,995 Matte Wrap
Ford has a new way to keep your pony car’s paint from getting old.
The Mustang can now be ordered with a factory clear matte wrap that gives any of its stock paint colors a “smooth, satin-like finish,” according to ford.
The price is a bit steep at $5,995, but the PPG-supplied wrap is safe for touchless car washes and resists road salt, bird droppings and asphalt residue.
It can be ordered on most Mustangs, but isn’t compatible with the California Special package or other optional graphics packages and the Mustang Dark Horse loses its hood stripe when ordered with the wrap.

Ford is also making the hood stripe delete an option on the Dark Horse separate from the wrap.
The order book for Mustang coupes with the wrap opens on Feb. 27 while convertibles will be added later in the year.
Tesla also recently expanded its wrap options for the Cybertruck, but adding grey, blue and red to the black and white options that have been available since last year. However, the $6,000 to $6,500 wraps are only currently available through four service centers in California.

A wider range of colors is offered for the Model 3 and Model Y for $5,700 to $6,000, but with the same regional restriction.
And while the Dodge Challenger is now out of production, it is still possible to order a wild Hi-Impact wrap for $3,700 that has stripes in all 14 standard colors that were available for the vehicle.
The wrap was inspired by an advertisement for the 1970 Plymouth Barracuda that featured a “paint chip” car with a similar look.
