The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Is Flying Off Dealer Lots
The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is the brand’s fastest midsize pickup, both off-road and getting out of showrooms.
The high-performance model is powered by a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder rated at 310 hp and 430 lb-ft and is equipped with an advanced, lifted suspension system designed for high speed driving and jumping on rough roads.
It features advanced Multimatic DSSV progressive dampers that are tuned to soak up small bumps, but able to absorb huge impacts.
Priced at $48,295 to start, it’s a great value for a sport truck and buyers are apparently taking notice.

Perhaps not surprising, the second-quickest-seller is the $38,495 Colorado Trail Boss, which features a two-inch lift and other off-road gear.
Chevrolet’s “factory-lifted” trucks have proven popular since the first full-size Silverado Trail Boss was introduced in 2019.
The Colorado Trail Boss comes with the same engine as the ZR2, but it’s tuned to 391 lb-ft of torque. Its suspension doesn’t feature the DSSVs, but does have a set of off-road-tuned dampers.
Chevrolet now offers the ZR2 and Trail Boss trims across all of its midsize, full-size and heavy duty pickup lineups.
