Which U.S. State Buys The Most Pickups Per Vehicle?
Pickups make up around 16.5% of the vehicles on the road in the U.S., but the number varies widely state to state.
A new study from iSeeCars.com that looked at 20 million used vehicle sales found that Wyoming had the highest percentage of pickups at 37.1%.
Neighboring Montana was second at 34.7%, followed by North Dakota at 32.2%, Idaho at 29.3% and South Dakota at 26.9% before the list jumped up to Alaska at 26.9%.
Texas, which is the largest market for pickup sales overall, was 19th at 20.4%.

At the other end of the list, densely populated and mostly suburban New Jersey was the only state in the single-digits at 7.9%, with Connecticut just behind at 10.3% and Maryland at 10.6%.
