Ford recently announced plans to shift resources from F-150 Lightning production in order to crank out more Broncos.
It looks like it might need them.
The midsize off-road SUV finished last in first-quarter sales in the class of three it competes in.
Ford delivered 24,066 Broncos through March, which was a drop of 25.8% from the same period in 2023.

That fell far short of its archrival, the Jeep Wrangler, which saw a 1% increase to 38,308 deliveries.
Sandwiched between the two is the Toyota 4Runner, which the only other mainstream body-on-frame midsize SUV, although it is available only with a fixed roof.
Despite being a 15-year-old model, the 4Runner found 33,823 new homes in the first quarter, which was a whopping 60.2% increase over last year when Toyota was suffering major supply chain issues.
That might be doubly-bad news for Ford and Jeep, because an all-new 2025 4Runner is finally going to be revealed on Tuesday night.
Details are scarce, but it is expected to share much of its platform and powertrain with the all-new Tacoma pickup that launched for 2024.
One old-school feature that has been confirmed is the 4Runner’s signature power tailgate window.
