The package is being offered on the GT Premium trim in either coupe or convertible form. Both are powered by a 5.0-liter V8 and customers can choose between the six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission options.
The package includes red and black badges and wheel center caps inspired by those form the 1965 Mustang along with a grille pattern borrowed from a 1964.5 model. The wheels are Dark Gravity Gray five-spokes with chrome highlights.
Lower door stripes with “60 Years” written in them are also a throwback to early Mustang designs and each car gets a serialized number plate.
Ford is offering the package with Wimbeldon White, Race Red or Vapor Blue paint with black, red or grey leather upholstery and will offer it on just 1,965 cars.
Pricing hasn’t been announced, but the GT Premium starts at $48,075 and the 60th Anniversary Package will be available for order this summer with the first deliveries expected before the end of the year.
