Joe Dirt’s Dodge Charger Daytona Just Sold For $330,000
It’s the only movie star car that makes Tow Mater look new.
The Dodge Charger Daytona featured in the 2001 David Spade cult comedy classic “Joe Dirt” was sold at the Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach auction for $330,000.
The car isn’t actually a Daytona, but a regular 1969 Dodge Charger in costume.
The coupe still features the rusted and busted styling, chain-link steering wheel and fuzzy seat covers seen in the film.

It’s fully functional, however, including the headlights, and has a clean Dick Landy-tuned Magnum 440 V8 under the hood.
Joe Dirt wasn’t a huge hit at the box office, but became one of Spade’s most famous characters and spawned a 2015 sequel. That same year, Spade purchased a very nice and rare authentic 1969 Charger Daytona with a Hemi V8 for the then-record price of $900,000.
The car is one of only 20 that were built with the Hemi and a four-speed manual transmission and it was auctioned again last year for $1,430,000.
