Kyle Larson is looking to make history at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this Sunday.

The NASCAR Cup Series champion has qualified fifth for the Indy 500 and is a top five pick among oddsmakers to win the race in his first outing.

Regardless of how he does, he’ll be jumping on a plane after the race to try to complete “The Double” by racing in the Coca-Cola 600, which he won in 2021.

In the future, he may be taking a much longer flight to another famous race. Larson told David Land that racing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans is on his bucket list.

He doesn’t think it would be possible while he’s a full-time NASCAR Cup Series driver due to scheduling, but said “whenever my career’s done, yea, I’d give it a go.”

THE CHEVROLET CAMARO WON’T COME BACK FOR YEARS AND WILL PROBABLY BE A 4-DOOR ELECTRIC CAR IF IT EVER DOES

Land suggested he could take the Hendrick Motorsports Garage 56 Camaro that entered the race as an exhibition in 2023, but he said he’d prefer to do it officially.

“I would like to do it in a true race car, where you’re racing against other competitors,” Larson said.

It wouldn’t be his first time racing twice around the clock. When he was racing for Chip Ganassi, Larson was on the team that won the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2015.

Larson has seemed very non-plussed by the speed of his Arrow McLaren Indycar, despite reacing 241 mph in practice. He says it didn’t feel that much different than when he raced on the oval in the NASCAR Cup Series, which will be back there in August for the 30th anniversary Brickyard 400.
