Christopher Bell won the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday night, but it was really the Coca-Cola 369.
The race was suspended for rain after 249 of 400 scheduled laps were complete and track drying efforts were going to carry to far into the night to make finishing the event feasible.
Bell was leading Brad Keselowski, William Byron, Tyler Reddick and Denny Hamlin when the weather caution started.
Kyle Larson had arrived at the track from Indianapolis at the beginning of the caution and was planning to take over for Justin Allgaier, who had started the race in the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro and was running in 13th.
Larson missed the start of the race because the Indy 500 was delayed three hours by the same weather front that swept through Charlotte.
Larson finished 18th in the Indy 500 due to a drive through penalty he was given for speeding in pit lane on lap 133, but ran in the top 10 for much of the race and even led a few laps near the end during a pit stop cycle.
Larson has indicated that he is open to giving The Double another shot in 2025.
