Chevrolet Bolt Owners Can Still Get $3,000 Off The Equinox EV

(Chevrolet)

The Chevrolet Bolt may have went on hiatus last year, but the brand is hoping to keep its owners around this season.

Chevy began offering a $3,000 loyalty discount on Equinox EV leases to current owners of 2017 or newer Bolts and Bolt EUVs in April, with a $2,500 discount available on purchases.

According to CarsDirect.com, the deal is still being offered along with a very good lease price on the Equinox EV.

The $43,295 Equinox EV 2LT can be leased for $379 per month with a deposit of $3,189 and no acquisition fee for 36 months with a total mileage limit of 30,000 miles.

Chevrolet will be adding an entry-level $34,995 trim later this year, but the $379 lease is very competitive at the $43,295 list and the extra $3,000 off makes it even more attractive.

The Compact SUV has a 213 hp electric motor and an EPA rated range of 319 miles per charge in the 2LT FWD trim.

Tesla currently lists the $46,380 Model Y Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive with a 36-month lease at $449 per month with a $2,990 down payment and 30,000-mile limit.

The Equinox EV is set to be GM’s lowest-priced electric vehicle until the new Bolt goes on sale next year.

The Bolt will be built in Fairfax, Kan., and combine the platform of the previous model with an updated powertrain based on GM’s latest Ultium technology.

Chevrolet hasn’t released an exact price target, but has said that it will be the most affordable EV in the United Sates.

Along with all of the other incentives available, the Chevrolet Equinox qualifies for the full $7,500 federal tax credit on EV purchases, a discount that is factored into the lease price.

It also has a high enough GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) to be eligible for a Section 179 tax deduction if it is used for business purposes.
