The Tesla Cybertruck is creeping up on the Ford F-150 on the sales charts like The Undertaker coming up behind AJ Styles.
According to the latest S&P Global Mobility report on electric vehicle registrations reported on by Automotive News, there were 2,509 F-150 Lightnings registered in April and 2,181 Cybertrucks.
Ford reported 2,090 deliveries during the month, while Tesla does not release monthly sales figures or specific Cybertruck deliveries. The March registration figures were 1,158 for the Cybertruck and 2,893 for the F-150 Lightning.
However, Tesla revealed during its recent investor day event that Cybertruck production had reached 1,300 per week and was ramping up toward a goal of 2,500 per week by the end of the year.

Ford, on the other hand, has lowered its outlook for F-150 Lightning production this year and shifted some resources toward building the Ranger pickup and Bronco SUV. That means that there is an excellent chance that the Cybertruck will outsell the F-150 Lightning in May or June.
