It’s often overlooked, but Acura is the only full-line automaker other than Tesla that manufactures every car it sells in the U.S in the U.S., and that includes the Integra Type S, which shouldn’t even exist in today’s market.

The Ohio-built Integra Type S is a 320 hp front-wheel-drive, four-door compact hatchback performance car that’s only sold with a six-speed manual transmission.

Automakers just don’t offer cars like this anymore, but the Integra Type S has been a hit for the brand and builds on the excellence of the more mainstream Integra models.

It comes fully loaded for $52,995 and does an amazing job tapping into Gen X nostalgia for the original Integra Type S of the 1990s while delivering an engaging, but comfortable modern luxury car experience that serves as a reminder that some car companies still have a soul.
