Someone Wants To Buy Every Fisker Ocean Left For $46 million
Now this is bulk pricing.
New York-based ride share vehicle leasing company American Lease has offered to buy all 3,321 of the Fisker Oceans in the bankrupt company’s possession for an average of $14,000 each, according to Reuters.
The offer is listed in a new court filing that values the total purchase at $46.25 million.
Fisker owes approximately $1 billion to creditors and the sale of the electric SUVs to raise funds needs to be approved by the court.
TechCrunch reports that the prices paid will range from $2,500 for damaged Oceans to $16,500 for new ones and only applies to U.S. market vehicles.

The terms of the agreement would restrict American Lease from reselling the vehicles for 12 months, but would grant it license to all of the vehicle software, which will be frozen in its current version. That means several future features that Fisker had advertised will not be implemented and the company would wash its hands of any future repair or warranty liabilities.
Top Ocean models selling at prices as high as $68,999 last October before a round of price adjustments that was followed by big that brought the price for an entry-level trim down to $24,999. After several months of warning investors of its ability to stay afloat, Fisker filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on June 11.

Approximately 4,700 Oceans were delivered worldwide out of 10,000 that were built before the company’s problems forced it to halt distribution.
Fisker had announced plans to follow the Ocean up with a low-cost hatchback, a pickup and a sports car, but the vehicles were only shown in concept form at an event last August.
