Gone! The Last New Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Was Just Sold For $134,040
And then there were none.
The last new Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 listed on the major automotive shopping websites has been sold, just days after American Cars And Racing exclusively reported on it.
The white convertible was at Mike Bell Chevrolet in Carrolton, Ga., but is no longer on the dealership’s website and a representative has confirmed that someone bought it for the $134,040 asking price, which was $50,000 over its $84,040 sticker price.
We haven’t been able to find any more that are still in inventory, although several old listings do show up in searches. (Feel free to reach out to [email protected] if your store has any in stock.)
At the time this story was published there were fewer than 400 Camaros in all trims listed for sale on Cars.com.
The Mike Bell car was a base ZL1 with a black interior and three just three options listed on its window sticker: the 10-speed automatic transmission, a carbon fiber weave hood insert and a front license plate holder.
Chevrolet has no current plans for a new Camaro, but GM President Mark Reuss has suggested its replacement could take the form of an affordable electric four-door coupe.
The brand does have one thing to think about, however, as it still races the Camaro in NASCAR. The rules allow it to do that as long as it likes, but it can’t update the body of the race car, as Ford and Toyota did this season.
Chevrolet hasn’t indicated when or with what it will replace the Camaro body with, but it is about to discontinue the Malibu sedan, which will leave the mid-engine Corvette as its last car model.

Among all the GM brands, the only cars left will be the Cadillac CT4 and CT5 sedans, but it’s unlikely that the luxury brand would carry its flag in NASCAR as it is currently featured on GM’s IMSA prototypes.
